Who Me? What Knee?

What, you thought I’d let a pesky little knee operation stop me? Not a chance! The past couple of weeks have been busier than ever, and four days post op there I was at the Duke of Edinburgh Diamond Challenge alongside the insanely sculpted Davina Mcall, and the beautifully chiselled Matt Johnson, to name a few…

Seeing the love of my life Ed Watson being celebrated at not one but two events was an absolute dream. Firstly at his beautiful sculpture unveiling, and secondly at the amazing photography exhibition by Rick Guest, entitled What Lies Beneath, all about the strength and power that goes in to being a ballet dancer. A peek behind the effortlessness and grace that we are led to believe as they glide across the stage, showing the real strength and passion behind it. I also got to meet the Royal Ballet’s divine Thiago Soares and new and upcoming ENB star Cesar Corrales. As always it was a pleasure to catch up with the most beautiful Lauren Cuthbertson at both events, and to be accompanied by my dear friend Debbie Moore, with whom I never stop laughing.

Moving on to the serious showbiz section… I had a blast at BBBOTS, talking on the panel with the hilarious Alison Hammond and the adorable George Shelley, discussing the house antics, my friendship with John Partridge and that evenings eviction of the indisputably glamorous Nancy Dell’olio. Never far from a glass of champagne, she is elegance personified.

And continuing on the showbiz scene, my night at the NTA’s was fantastic and floral in equal amounts! I was wearing what’s called a living dress, a beautiful piece that was designed for me covered in live flowers, in association with homeopathy and the benefits it Β can have. As always the night was filled with friendly gossip, naughty gossip, celebrity gossip, and of course, hot gossip! I caught up with so many gorgeous guy and gals, and tried to get a s many piccies as I could to share with you…

As I said, I’m not going to let a little thing like a knee operation stand in the way of my fun, and I’ll be back next week with more new on Jackie the Musical, and all the other exciting things I’ve been getting up to…

New Knee, New Me

Coming to you live from my recovery bed, what a way to start my year! After limping my way round New York at the end of last year with what I though was a bit of bruised knee… Well I only went and tore my miniscus! So here I am, off to a cracking start, high kicking my way to recovery after a deliciously divine and rather over indulgent Christmas. From our enormous tree, to the heavenly lunch cooked by my partner, the gifts, surrounded by my dearest friends and family, not to mention I am now about 90% cheese… it was a wonderful way to end what has been yet another crazy and brilliant year.

The night before my surgery I was of course not at home resting but having a fabulous time at the press night for the new production of Guys and Dolls at the Savoy, and whilst showing off my gorgeous new Valentino boots (thank you Selfridges sale!) I bumped into the equally gorgeous Robert Lindsey!

I also sadly want to pay tribute to Robert Stigwood, a man I had the pleasure of working closely with for many years, most memorably on Grease and Saturday Night Fever. He never failed to send flowers on my birthday and at Christmas, we had our good times, and boy did we have our fights, but I learnt so much from this great man, a true gent to the end, and I will miss him greatly.

Finally, I’d like to leave you with a bit of inspiration, as it’s a new year, a new blog, and whole new knee – I mean me! So here you are…
