Firstly I would to say yes I am still alive, no I haven’t so much as stopped to take a breath, and yes I am missing you all and your lovely comments! I’ve been down the Pythonesque rabbit hole for so long now, and after having been joined down there with a bunch of crazy Brazilians my life has definitely not been my own. It’s been such an incredible month, and come August I will be mainly not leaving my bed!
I will however be supporting many from sunny Scotland where I’m busy in final rehearsals for Brazouka, which opens at Edinburgh Festival in August.
Its again been an insane rehearsal period, I think what I’ve found hardest is despite having a translator, the time it takes to get ideas across can sometimes be frustrating. Saying that, the result is like nothing I have ever seen, and I just know the audience is going to go wild. You can follow the making of Braouka Live on our Youtube channel http://bit.ly/BZKAYT

In other news, you may have heard that with together with Sue Wybrow of Popdance, I have launched #dancemystreet. You can follow @dancemystreet which is raising money for @alzheimerssoc. 1 in 3 of us over the age of 65 will develop this incurable condition. It’s vital that we do what we can to raise funds to support and care for those living with dementia and also fund research that one day we will find a cure. I want everyone to do something for themselves and for others. All it takes is a moment of your time to experience the joy of music and dance to raise money for those living with Dementia. It’s so easy, just film on your iphone or tablet, text DMYS99 £3 to 70070 to donate £3 to Alzheimer’s Society, post on facebook/twitter/youtube and nominate 3 others to do the same. It will make a MASSIVE difference – I’ve danced down my street, please dance down yours! http://bit.ly/DMSVID
You don’t even have to be a dancer to take part! here’s the Alzheimer’s Society staff joining in… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdv66uw2r4s&feature=youtu.be
Plus every month I’ll be picking my favourite video which will wine a prize! The winning video in June won a prize generously donated by Debbie Moore of Pineapple Studios, which included a three month membership to Pineapple Dance Studios, a class voucher, bag and t-shirt! So Congratulations to Emilia for her winning entry. Have a watch and join in: http://on.fb.me/1iULia4
And this month there will be x4 Thorpe Park annual passes up for grabs !http://bit.ly/DMSPRIZES
I was so happy to catch up with my darling friend Louanne who arrived from Las Vegas, and between her business here and my insane schedule we managed to spend a couple of hours gossiping madly, trying to fit everything and talking nine to the dozen. It’s so rare our time together, and sometimes I don’t think I even realise how much I miss her until we are reunited, I love you Louanne, come back soon!
For those of you that missed me on ITV Weekend you can catch up here http://bit.ly/1ptUu3X to watch myself and Pamela talking all about Brazouka, and also meeting the stunningly talented Jason Mraz! You can also hear me on Radio 2 live from O2 bbc.in/VudxlQ and opps I let something slip… Tune in to find out what!
So until next time, which hopefully won’t be as long….
My love yo you all!
P.S. make sure you scroll down for all my crazy Python pics!
